Catch Up

I didn't realize it had been so long since I have posted, so I better do a little catch up.
First of all Ben and Brooke both celebrated birthdays, Ben is now officially a decade old. We didn't do much for his birthday, we took him to the car show and Cabelas. We then had to stop by Deseret Book to get his gift, he got new scriptures and a new scripture bag, he was so excited to have his own scriptures and not have to borrow mine all the time. He has done an excellent job in caring for them and I don't even have to beg him to get his scriptures for church anymore, he just grabs them and goes!!
Brooke's birthday was celebrated the next week, we had to have ham and funeral potatoes for her dinner, then she decided she wanted to open her gifts early. She got some squinkees and a new bike. She was so excited to get a new bike. The only downfall is now it is harder to keep up with her, I guess that is good exercise for me.

We have also been out shooting guns, Kylee is getting all practiced up for deer and elk hunting. She has a great shot and hopefully will be able to help fill our freezer this year. Ben is a pro at shooting his bb gun, he hits the target every time he shoots. Sadly while we were out it was pretty windy, so the whistle pigs weren't out, but he was able to shoot at lots of cans!! Brooke is just learning to shoot the bb gun and lets just say she hasn't mastered it yet. She did have fun shooting, but we need to teach her to aim!!

Ben also had his pine wood derby, he is so funny, he wants so bad to have the best car out there and he gets really down on himself when he doesn't win. It is so hard to tell him his car did great when the car didn't live up to his expectations. Hopefully next year he will be a little more serious about working on his car earlier and he can have a great car. It was still fun to watch all the boys and their cars.

We have now made it to Spring Break, we haven't done anything yet, but I'm hoping it will warm up so we can go out and enjoy the break.
