4th of July

We usually don't plan anything big for the 4th, we kind of just like to relax and spend some time together. This year Jaime and I got up early and went fishing...by getting up early we were able to sneak out of the house without any of the kids. It was fun to just have sometime alone without them.
The rest of the day was just spent relaxing, until Home Depot called and told us our new window was in, which meant we had something to do for the rest of the day. We spent a couple hours putting in the window, then headed over to my mom's for a bbq and fireworks. This year my Uncle Jeff and Grandpa were able to come up and it was fun to be able to visit them and do fireworks with them. Luckily Carolyn went all out on fireworks this year, so we had a good show, I always love to watch the kids' reaction to fireworks and this year was great. Brooke was so excited to watch them, but when we started setting them off, she would be gone...she would run and sit on Great Grandpa's lap, or run up to the garage, it was funny to see all the different places she would go to feel safe and still see the fireworks. There is nothing better than a day off in the middle of the week to play and enjoy time with family.
This isn't from the 4th, but we took the kids fishing for FHE and he caught his first catfish. It was the first fish he caught on his new pole. He was pretty excited.

This was just a view from when we were fishing, I thought it was pretty.
