Fun Weekend

Since the weather has been crazy lately, we haven't had any big plans to do anything, but we have been itching to get out of the house and the weather on Thursday and Friday was so nice. So we were hoping to get out and play on Saturday, but the weather started out pretty crappy, however once the afternoon hit the storms were pretty much gone and just the wind was blowing, so we decided to go fly our kites. It was really a lot of fun and Brooke had a blast (she had never flown a kite before) Kylee and Brooke were able to get their kites up pretty easy, but we never were able to get Ben's kite up, so he shared with his sisters.

On Sunday we decided to take a drive up to Owyhee because they have the dam open which means the glory hole is running and the kids always like to see it. But you know if I go for a drive there is always a little more to do than just drive, we had to test out my new gps (which I absolutely love) and we found some caches! After we were done caching we decided to try our luck at fishing, but the kids all got sidetracked when we found some lizards. We started fishing, but had no luck and Ben got tired of trying and decided to try his luck at catching the lizards and what do you know he caught 2 of them, I think it made his day. All in all it turned out to be a fun day with the family and Brooke is already asking when we get to go camping, fishing and hiking. Bring on the warm weather we are ready to play!!
