Christmas with the Tolman's

Our Christmas always seems to start on Christmas eve, we get together with all of my siblings at my parents and have a nice little dinner and visit. It was really nice and relaxed and the kids had a great time playing with their cousins. They also had a special visitor who came with gifts for each of them (new pj's) they were really excited to see him and Brooke didn't hesitate at all to talk to him and get her gift from him in fact he had remembered seeing her at the library and asked her if she remembered which book he read to them and she looked right at him and said "night before Christmas" it was really cute. After the kids all got into their new pj's they were ready to go home. We always watch the Polar Express on Christmas eve and then the kids get to go to bed. Kylee and Ben were really excited and it took them a little while to settle down this year.
Christmas morning always comes too soon. At about 7:00 the kids woke us up through our in the wall intercom system (they yelled through the return air filter which we can hear loud and clear downstairs).
So we got up and woke up Brooke and went and got the kids.
Brooke was so excited to see what she got, in fact when she saw her big gift she didn't even look at her other stuff. She was more worried about feeding her baby.
Kylee was a little disappointed at first, she didn't get much and Santa had hid her big gift, after she found it she was jumping up and down for joy.
Ben didn't show any excitement at all in fact when Kylee said look Ben you got a new bike he looked at it and said "yep" but he ended up being very happy with the stuff he got.
After we did our gifts here we had to walk to grandma and grandpa Tolman's to do gifts there and have breakfast. They gave Brooke a new blanket and pillow. Ben got some new clothes and some cars. Kylee got the Twilight game which she was thrilled with.
After breakfast we headed home to get ready to head back to Grandma and Grandpa Anderson's to open gifts. This year was really different, we are usually the last ones to get there and this year we were the first, we didn't quite know how to act, but the kids did. They hurried and found their gifts and were ready to go. Ben and Brooke both got new bathrobes and a v-smile game and Kylee got a whole bunch of scrapbooking stuff which she is really excited about.
After we got through we headed home to finish cooking lunch, my parents and sister and her kids all came over for a very informal Christmas lunch, the kids all had fun riding bikes and playing together.

No, Kylee's hair doesn't always look like that, she was jumping up and down when I snapped the picture.
