Camping Trip

Because we didn't get our annual Memorial Day camping trip we decided to go this last weekend. We were all pretty excited, but as we watched the weather report it didn't look like it would be a good weekend. But we decided to go anyway. We were going with Jerry and Megan and as Friday got here and it was raining I kept asking Jerry if he was going to chicken out. Well he didn't and he was able to leave a couple of hours before us, so it was his job to get us a good campsite. We headed out just before 6:00 and it rained the whole way up. When we got there the rain had died down a little which worked out great for us to set up the trailer and not get it all wet!! I'm glad we have an awning on the trailer because it was able to keep some of our stuff from getting all wet. Friday night we had a pretty good rainstorm come through and Saturday morning it rained for about a half hour and then it cleared up and was beautiful the rest of the weekend!!
We decided to take a drive and check on our caches and let Jerry and Megan find some. Our caches are still there and they look good. After our drive the kids were dying to go for 4-wheeler rides, so Jaime and Jerry broke down and took them for a pretty nice ride. The kids had a blast and the 4-wheelers came back pretty muddy!!
Jaime also took the kids and did a little fishing, Ben got mad because he wasn't catching any so he came back early, but Brooke got to catch one and she loved it. However when Jaime tried letting her hold it she started shaking and got scared.
After we got dinner cooking in the dutch ovens Jaime, Jerry, Megan and Kylee decided to go fishing and when were leaving Brooke ran and got her pole to go, but because they were walking in the river they didn't want her to go.
The worst part about camping is there is so much to do and not enough time to do it all in. We had a great time and we can't wait until the end of the month to go again with the whole family.

This is at Big Cow Burn one of our caches up there, it has a really nice view.

The kids all loaded up to go for a night ride on the 4-wheeler.

They even helped to the dishes Saturday morning!!
At Eldorado Ditch this has a very interesting history.
