Fishing Trip

So Grandpa Tolman got a fishing boat and he wanted to take us out fishing. Well we were all excited to go, but we had to break up into two groups. Group 1 was Jaime, Grandpa and Kylee and they left shortly after 7:00 A.M. Group 2 was Grandma, Grandpa, Jen, Ben and Kylee.

Kylee was so excited to get to go, she loves to eat catfish and has been begging us to take her catfishing, so today was the day. They left pretty early and I guess weren't having much luck, Grandpa caught 1 fish, but it was a bass. Kylee had bites gallore, but she kept losing them.

Well by the time group 2 arrived at about 11:00 A.M. they stilled hadn't had much luck with the fish, but you try and tell Ben he can't ride in the boat. So we all pile in except for Jaime and Brooke, they went home. We were all hoping to turn the day around and we got new bait to try so we figured it would be a fun couple of hours.

We hit the first spot and I got a bite, but that was all. So we went to the next spot and I got a good bite in fact that stinking fish took all my bait and how he didn't get hooked I'll never know. Kylee got a little nibble here, but not worth staying for.

So off to the last spot now we are just trying to get a fish for Kylee. We sit for awhile fishing and Kylee finally gets a big bite, she is jerking the pole and doing everything right, she was so funny she kept saying I can't do it it's too hard, but we made her keep going and just as it was getting close to the boat it broke free. Kylee was so upset she wanted to get a fish so bad. But she can't wait for the next trip.

Ben had a good time, but he isn't very patient, so it was hard for him to sit in the boat for about 3 hours, in fact he loved getting the boat out of the water the best. He got to sit in the boat and steer while Grandpa was pulling it out of the water he loved that part.

So hopefully next time we get to go out we have a little better luck.
