Thanksgiving Weekend

Oh how I love the holidays, the food, the family, the shopping and the remodeling of the house. We always have family come up for Thanksgiving and we always go black Friday shopping, but in the last couple of years we have started doing little projects at our house just to keep the men busy and the women from doing too much shopping (but we still do lots of shopping).
This year was no different, however the project that was decided upon for this year was a lot more work. We decided to give the bathroom a face lift. So the first weekend in November we got a new tub and started putting up the backerboard to put the tile up around the tub. Then on Wednesday when our family got here we got started right away on the tiling. We were up until 2:00 AM just getting the tile around the tub done, then it was a quick 3 hour nap before we had to be to Kmart to start shopping. Thursday was filled with eating and shopping and putting the tile on the bathroom floor. We then decided to hit the 12:00 AM sale at Walmart which was totally crazy, we didn't get home until 2:00 AM and we hit the beds for about another 3 hour nap before hitting the other sales around town. After spending the morning shopping it was back to the bathroom to start doing the grout, and then going and visiting more family. Now as far as I was concerned after we were done with the grout we would be done with the bathroom for the weekend, however someone had other plans and after finally sleeping for more than 3 hours we headed out Saturday morning and got some paint, a new shower rod, and shower curtain. We spent Saturday morning/afternoon priming and putting on the first coat of paint. Then we went and visited the other family for awhile and came home and put on the 2nd coat of paint and put the bathroom back together. We are pretty excited about how it all turned out, so here are a couple of pictures of the new facelift of our bathroom.
New tub, tile, window and shower curtain.

The new floor.

All the kids just before they left to go home.

The bathroom looks GREAT! It's always nice to be able to finish projects like those.
